Scandalli accordions made at that time were of very good quality. This is probably and intermediate model, judging from the color and design. From the picture it appears to be a 120 bass, musette tuned accordion. I can not tell from the picture...
£500 reward offered in search for missing accordion
A £500 reward has been offered for the safe return of a treasured accordion which was stolen in Evesham.
The Scandalli accordion was taken from outside T-Mobile on Bridge Street at about 10am on Friday, July 9 along with a trolley, a speaker and case.
Renowned accordion player Richard Adey had been planning to busk with the two-and-a-half year old instrument which was made to his specifications and was distinctive as it had no front grill.
The musician, who regularly performs in Birmingham and relies on the accordion for his livelihood, said: “I saved carefully for years to get this accordion and then in a few minutes it is all gone and I am back where I started.â€
He returned to Evesham on Friday to hand out flyers in the hope of finding his equipment.
Police have warned local music shops to be wary if they are offered an accordion for sale and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
