I bought a second hand accordion recently and I realised that one of the piano keys is slightl raised above the rest. It may have been something I have done but I don't remeber having done anything that could have damaged it. The key still works...
Yes you can fix it if you are very careful. First check to see that it is not just the key top that is raised. Some older accordions had wooden keys that had tops made of plastic or some other material....

Im trying to find out how to play accordion by myself. What website can I go to get the notes for the accordions like the tones and all that. And "adornos".
I don't think it's the kind of thing you can learn online, no matter how many sites there are. But also, it's hard to find a good teacher. So, look for a teacher you connect with. Karina (below) is a good start.
Good luck.

My accordion is a 32 button keyboard accordion. No matter what chord I "switch" to (by pressing two of the buttons in the diagonal row), this note is always there ruining the chord. Is this how it's supposed to be? What can I do to...
No, it's not supposed to be like that. The bass mechanism of your accordion is in need of repair. There are a few things that could cause the problem. If you are not familiar with the internal workings of the accordion I strongly suggest you take...

Its never too late to learn an instrument. Lots of people take up all kinds of instruments well into their 30's, 40's, 50's and beyond, and become very good, with practice. More importantly, they're doing something they love and get great joy out of
Tejano star performs for Brownsville children
Jaime De Anda has traveled across the country, belting out tunes and playing the accordion as front man for Jaime y Los Chamacos.
The group has made more than 30 television appearances, performed for former President Bill Clinton, and has a wide array of accolades — five Grammy nominations and one Latin Grammy, to name a few.
The list of accomplishments is long – from winning the Texas Talent Musicians Association’s Showband of the year to taking Conjunto of the Year at the Valley’s Choice Awards.
But on Tuesday morning, the charismatic De Anda was not onstage. He was behind the scenes making a difference.
The Houston native was playing the accordion, singing and speaking to children at the Centro Cultural in Cameron Park. His main mission, he said, was to stress the importance of education and inspire the children in the center’s summer camp to achieve their goals.
“For me, it is an honor to be here because we were all kids once, ... so we all needed some kind of guidance, someone to look up to, to make us feel important,” De Anda said as he signed autograph. “We are just here to show (the children) that they are not alone. We are here to support them.”
