I've got this old accordion and would like to know what model it is and when it was made exactly. It's 140 bass so a little unusual. Any info. much appreciated.
Here's a link to an eBay auction for a 1937 Hohner catalog on CD. This means that vintage Hohner catalogs exist. You just have to hunt them down.

I've been using German-made Hohner piano accordions for a while, and I can say that they are a class apart. My fellow musicians are all fans of the Italian-made Gabbanelli accordion, and yes, they do make piano accordions too.

Trio's tunes prompt memories
During any given performance, the Pearland-based musical trio This ‘N’ That performs an array of music that swings from country western and polkas to blues and pop standards.
“We do a little bit of everything,” said Bob Parks, who plays the accordion.
The remaining two members of the trio are Rey Ramos on guitar and Mary Jo Wuenschel on drums.
The group is a regular at Melvin Knapp Senior Center, 2424 South Park Ave., Pear-land, where it appears once or twice a month.
Parks said he loves watching guests respond to the group’s music.
“You can see the memories crossing their faces,” said Parks, 78, who began playing the accordion when he was 11.
He went through two accordions before he bought his current instrument, a Hohner he purchased in Germany in 1956 during his service with the U.S. Air Force.
He spent several years as a volunteer musician with Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital and began playing at Knapp in 2000.
