a 41 inch neck has more frets! thats all there is to it.... as a beginner i would suggest starting with a 38 inch because you wont use the highest frets for a while, and when you do, it will be time for a new guitar. plus, its mostly only for

i have a dreadnaught 41" acoustic guitar. i just broke my low e-string and i haven't been out to buy a new set of strings so does size matter and what brands that are farely cheap do you recommend?

Generally, Acoustic Guitar strings (not classical/nylon) are pretty much the same size (though there may be some made for small guitars). The standard Acoustic strings they have at a music store will work just fine. If you have never put a string on

I'd go with light gauge strings for sure. I like Elixir Nanoweb light gauge acoustic strings.
