NHRA Museum to open exhibit on cars, guitars
POMONA - Just in time for the start of the LA County Fair, the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum will open its latest exhibit, "Axes & Axles: The Art of Building Cars and Guitars."
The exhibit, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Fender Telecaster guitar, acknowledges the synergy between guitars (axes) and cars (axles) at the museum from Sept. 4 through Jan. 31. Its opening will coincide with the first day of the fair.
The museum exhibit will feature a collection of rare photographs, rock memorabilia and personal cars and guitars from icons such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Michael Anthony, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Billy F Gibbons.
As part of the celebration of the Fender Telecaster guitar, the exhibit will also illustrate the history of Fender and celebrate one of the most famous guitars ever built, the Telecaster.
