Dunlop's Tortex picks are available in a variety of shapes and gauges.
How do guitar companies determine how thick they make guitar picks? When I look at some picks they're some random obscure number like 1.15mm or .88mm. Thanks
Yeah my favorite pick is a Dunlop nylon .88.
They make them in various thicknesses because guitarists have different preferences. The "random" numbers you're seeing are the actual thickness of the pick in millimeters (they use those to measure...

Interview – Emmure: Jesse Ketive and Frank Palmeri
Took some time to talk shop.

The Interview:
TMR: Your song “When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong” is a great example of your brutal lyricism. Is there a background story, or is it just good writing?
Frank: There’s a background story for everything. That pretty much covers it.
TMR: On the cover of “The Respect Issue”, if you haven’t seen it, there is picture of an MMA fighter. Where did that idea come from?
Frank: It was a really bad idea from our old drummer and our director from Victory who wanted a wrestler for the cover. That’s pretty much it.
Jesse : I think it sort of came forward because Victory Records had a collaboration with TNA Wrestling, and so what we ended up doing is collaborating. We had Kurt Angle on the cover. I don’t know, I thought it was a cool concept, and it all seemed to come together.
