Hi, thanks for reading my question. I have been playing blues/country diatonic harmonica for 18 years now. Lately (on and off for the past 5 years or so) I have been listening to William Clarke,...
Bill Clarke was my favorite. He and George were as close as father - son. I used to remember when Bill's brother played drums for him. George was the founder and King of the Chromatic if you ask me. Get a copy of "Blues in the Dark" and...

No band. Just soloing alone. What's the best small chromatic harp for this? I also can't spend loads of cash right now.
Maybe a Chrometta 8? Hohner also makes an educator's chromatic. I don't know about either one personally as mine is a Super 64.
I just recently got a 12 hole super chromonica M Hohner crhromatic harmonica and I am having trouble finding my notes can someone explain to me how it works ?
Your harmonica is Solo tuned rather than Richter tuned. It would be difficult to explain the note arrangement in this forum but follow the link below. Page 6 should give you the information you are seeking. If you can't get into the Solo tuned...
I have this for years now but my young nephews sometimes played with it and leave streaks of saliva in it. Can I wash this with soap and water or any cleaning solutions? I am afraid that the metal parts might be harmed.
Efferdent denture cleaner. Warm water in a glass with one tablet. Soak for about an hour, rinse and dry. If it was going to rust it would have done so a long time ago from the saliva.
Confused, tell me.
The advantage comes with whatever playing style you have. If you are playing jazz, you are most def. going to want to play a chromatic harmonica, while diatonics are better suited for blues and folk, simply because of their tuning differences.

Twin Cities Jazz Society announces 2010-11 'Jazz from J to Z' season
Has presented an annual series of concerts in a variety of venues. In the past, the series has seemed a bit big-band-heavy, but the organization has widened its scope in recent years. This year, for example, the series includes what I suspect is its first-ever free jazz event. (TCJS historians, you’re welcome to counter; I only looked back as far as 2004.)
About the new season, TCJS board member Andrea Canter says, “We’re trying to be more inclusive of a broader audience for jazz and more types of jazz. If [the free jazz ensemble] brings in enough of an audience, it may be an annual thing, a way of attracting new members who think all we do is big band.â€
Sept. 26, Bloomington Center for the Arts: CC Septet: “She’s Big in Egypt.†Musicians connected to Century College in White Bear Lake will perform standards and originals from their recording “She’s Big in Egypt.â€
Oct. 10, Bloomington Center for the Arts: Butch Miles and the Wolverines Big Band with Judi Donaghy.
