I recently bought two Hohner Marine Band harmonicas and I have to say I am in inamorata with them. The only problem is, like most Marine Band owners, they keep cutting my lips. Is there any way to prevent this without taking the instrument apart...
you can try using sand scratch paper to smooth the edges although that might not be the problem. If you are cutting your lips then maybe it is your technique. You can also try Lee Oscar harmonicas

I'm prospering to buy a harmonica (for playing Bob Dylan songs and the like), and I'm wondering which one I should get. The Hohner Marine Band 364 is $10 more than the Lee Oskar, but is it that much better?
Not safer, just different. Lee Oskars tend to have a brighter sound than the Marine Band. I'd lean towards a Marine band if you were doing a lot of blues but a Lee Oskar would certainly fit some folksy Dylan bits. Also, I've never had any issues...

Blues by the Bay
Blues by the Bay is upon us again this Sept. 5 and 6 and it is usual to be a blast. This is the 13th year for this ever improving festival and the changes made are always for the better. This perfectly timed event is maturing into one of the superb little entertainment experiences of the season and the locals don't have to pack for two days and drive for three to get there. The mild climate combined with the moderate breeze off of the bay make for great listening weather and the North Coast location beckons music lovers from all over the West Seaboard and beyond. People who attended last year were from Redding to Reno and L.A. to Portland.

”Lots of Swing dancers have wanted to attend but the ground wasn't fit. I understand that and this year we are
