I inherited a M. Hohner harmonica from my grandfather, and he got it from his father. There is a sticker on the bottom of the box with numbers on. The top number is 7947/48 M and the bottom number is 1-033.021-48. Can anyone tell me how old it is and
Look on eBay for similar models and see what they sell for. The 48 makes me think there are 48 reeds. It isn't one of these, is it?

When I decided I wasnÂ’t going to play music anymore, I had gotten married and I was raising a family. The money to make ends meet and feed a family just wasnÂ’t there. I played from Â’61 to the middle of Â’64, and then I decided I didnÂ’t want to play no more. Muddy got a new drummer. I went to taking different jobs, which was nice. I really didnÂ’t want to play no more, and to make sure I wouldnÂ’t play no more, I wouldnÂ’t even go around where any musician was playing. But it was hard! It was something I really wanted to do.
