I have an antique bell, found in a church by my grandfather, over in france. It is about 10 inches tall, hand forged, brass and has "Jean Dubois Au Puy" on the bell base (bell base is 2.5 inches tall).
Any other marking/designs? Does your grandfather live within 30 miles of any known churches or along a main transport route during the 1940's ? Jean Dubois is a fairly common name, without which, there is not much to go on.

Do you mean "bell" or "doll"? I couldn't find a pic, but Effanbee doll of 1975 is worth about $200.00 (I was told by a doll collector I know). Good luck.

You need to take them to dealer. No one can give you an estimate from a description or a picture.
I don't have an immediate answer on the maker. But I believe you must have a ship's bell from a German U-boat. If that is true I would suggest your search should include U-boat manufacturers and their suppliers, no doubt all in Germany.

Sila began collecting bells in her childhood, her first found in the pasture of her grandfathers farm just north of the barn they now rest in. She started purchasing them in
