I have an older (late 80's, early 90's) Bell helmet and I would like to buy a replacement sheild and pivot kit. If I order this stuff from the U.S. the shipping will be as much as a new helmet. Anyone know...

Maybe somebody has this problem, and can tell me; if there are supposed to be visible holes on the inside of the helmet, or not. It has a lower vent for the mouth and an upper vent, and on the back has a vent on each side.I hate to try and drill...

Do not drill! It won't help ventilation much, anyway.

Try dampening your head before you don the helmet. The water absorbs a lot of heat from your head and transfers it to the open air.
