how can i get REALLY good. i have band practice like 4 times a week and competitions on the weekends. and i have been doing it for 5 months now. but i feel like i got good, and then i just kinda stopped improving. how can i get even better?

Are you taking private lessons? It's difficult to improve without a good teacher.

Wood or metal. Wood is more popular of the two because it has that distinct, resonant sound that xylophone & marimba players look for. Metals like copper and aluminum are popular in toy xylophones.
