First you stop the sound at the source.

You can cut styrofoam blocks to fit between the joists Under the piano. This will stop a lot of the sound going down and traveling through the floor.

The serial number is 53640 on my Chappell baby grand piano. I estimate it is about 90 years old (just a guess) but I am wondering if anyone knows a website that could tell me the year my piano was made? Thanks in advance.
