The piano is 44 years old already, and I heard from someone that a piano older than 30 years old has lost its value and is worth not much.

midgetmaster is very close with his pricing for the U1 however he did pay on the high side for his U3. i.jones is more correct. Retailers are paying approx. $1800 to $2200 for grey market refurbished
Like some random notes sound kinda brighter than the rest (throughout mostly the octaves that usually play with your right hand). Is that fixable? I got it used from some lady.
It also may be that your piano is just out of tune. I would suggest looking through your yellow pages and finding a piano tuner to take a look at it. If it's not out of tune I'm sure they'll let you know what the problem is.
Thinking about relocating there due to a job offer, but since I will be in Al Ain if I do, I think I need to buy a piano to keep myself entertained etc...So I am wondering if anyone know what would be a rough cost. I tried to e mail piano stores...
I would strongly advise you not to get a Bladwin piano- don't try searching through DuBai, google Yamaha U3 and really good prices will be awaiting you. These pianos cost (if new) about $5000 more or less depending on who is selling it and which...

We are about to move a U1 upright piano into the house. We want it upstairs but we are not sure how much weight our floor can handle. Any ideas?

ME AND MY MONEY: OLIVER COLE, musician, discusses financial matters
Are you a saver or a spender? I am most definitely a spender. I don’t buy much but I seem to spend loads. It’s a mystery to me.
Do you shop around for better value? Nope. I always buy something as soon as I can. I know you can find things cheaper on the web, but what good is that when it’s a sunny day and you need sunglasses right away? I wish I did shop around. They seem to charge pretty much the same for whiskey everywhere, though.
What was your most extravagant purchase ever and how much did it cost? I once paid €3,000 for an acoustic guitar – but because I use it for “work”, maybe that’s not extravagant. I bought a pair of boots for €700, and that’s a lot for a boy to spend on shoes. Mind you, I still have them and, due to regular trips to the cobblers, they are still perfect five years later.
