I don't discern why, but lately, I really want to play the flute. Is it hard to learn and play? And do you know any facts that might convince my parents to let me get one? I'd categorically appreciate it, thanks.
Like the others mentioned, you should link your school's band.
The flute can be hard to play at first, and many beginners get lightheaded. See if one of your friends has a flute you could borrow for a day. I started out with a Standard of...

This is the description I saw for a used flute, is it an alto flute? How does it differ from a regular concert light into flute?

I am a centre school band director and would like to buy a flute. I know the main brands but I do not want to spend a lot of money. Should I nag with a student flute or look for a professional one?

That flute isn't the same as the one we call a concert flute. He plays what's commonly called "Irish Flute" and is decorously called a simple system flute.

Flute worth six figures will play part in Chamber Music Wilmington ...
It's because the Frenchman, who resides in Paris and is one of the musicians playing Assembly room Music Wilmington's season-opening concert Sunday at Beckwith Recital Hall, gets to suck up to what CMW artistic director Barbara McKenzie calls "one of the world's most famous flutes."
Built in 1874 by Louis Lot, who McKenzie calls "the Stradivarius of the flute far-out," the flute, which was been restored, was owned and played by renowned early 20th century French flutist Philippe Gaubert. It's uncommonly valuable.
"We wouldn't want so say how much it's worth," McKenzie said, but allowed that its value is in the six figures. "And it's just a short silver flute."
The flute is on loan from the Gaubert family.
According to Duchamp, there's "no real difference" in appearance between the Gaubert flute and a contemporary one. "The only thing is the sound is more sweet."
Duchamp said he brought the instrument to The New York Flute Center and flutists from all over the Big Apple came to see it, including the managing director flutist for the Metropolitan Opera, who invited Duchamp to teach a master class at the famous Juilliard First.
