ok...first day ever playing this big huge thing. LOL My goal is to create a video of me playing as many instruments as possible decently.
I just purchased a 1970's selmer 10g clarinet and its keys are tarnished a little. What is something that i can use to remove the tarnish on the keys without harming the wood?
That 10g should have silver keys. Nice instrument too. Selmer Paris made one of the best clarinets in the world in that period.
Don't risk damaging such a fine instrument. Take it to your local repair tech and have it serviced....

thanks
Use a toothpick - small end - to put a drop of oil on the ends of the rods which hold keys that move. Use tissue to dry any oil that gets onto the wood - to prevent dust gatherihg there. Oil doesn't hurt the...
I got this pretty decent Signet Special Clarinet made by Selmer. It's made of wood (I think grenadilla) and plays really nicely. I'm not a clarinet player though, and I need some money... would a music store take it off my hands? How much could I...
i play clarinet and did some googling on selmer signet special clarinets and there is a few being sold and the prices ranged from $200 to $350 but you may really want to take it into a music store just to make sure there is nothing wrong with it like
